Raising the profile of OpenOffice.org – in cooperation with the press.
OpenOffice.org is an independent, non-commercial project that is only possible thanks to the engagement of volunteers based all over the world. A community of highly specialised developers is working hard, ensuring the stability of the software, fixing any bugs, advising users and issuing new versions and applications.
Since the withdrawal of main sponsor ORACLE, which has been providing the necessary resources until now, the OpenOffice.org community has been on its own in terms of finances – despite the software being downloaded by some 1.5 million people every week.

Team OpenOffice.org e.V. has taken it upon themselves to join development of the free office suite with professionalism, making it fit for the future. Here, we depend on cooperation from the press.
